This spotlight is on Ullswater, England’s “most beautiful lake”. The lake and surrounding area has much to offer holiday makers, and makes the ideal base for exploring the Lake District. Ullswater is also in the Eden Valley, one of the most scenic parts of Cumbria.
Ullswater is the Ullswater is the second largest lake in the lake district, being nearly 9 miles long and ¾ mile wide at it’s widest point.

It is a popular venue for sailing, and there are many boat hire businesses, including the Glenridding Sailing Centre.
